About the role

The Senior Associate Scientist will contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide. This role involves optimizing strategies to elicit robust B cell responses in vivo, characterizing B cell development in genetically engineered mice, developing approaches to characterize plasma cell responses, planning and executing in vivo mouse immunization studies, and conducting ELISA-based assays to measure antibody responses.

Responsibilities

  • Drive projects under the supervision of a Senior Principal Scientist by designing and executing experiments, interpreting data, and making figures
  • Manage projects, maintain an up-to-date lab notebook, and detailed records
  • Optimize experiments and ensure rigorous controls
  • Collaborate effectively and adapt to the evolving needs of the group
  • Conduct multi-parameter flow cytometry and ELISA-based assays
  • Primary B cell culture and present data in small and large group settings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience or Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience in cellular immunology research laboratories, either in academia or industry
  • Experience with vaccination, tissue isolation, blood sampling, multi-parameter flow cytometry, and ELISA
  • Knowledge of B cell and plasma cell biology, and experience in primary culture of B cells and plasma cells (plus)

Qualifications

  • Outstanding candidates with relevant technical experience but in an adjacent field of immunology will be considered

  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Highly organized and experienced in managing projects

Salary Range (annually): $70,300.00 - $110,100.00
