Senior Associate Scientist, Analytical Science (Contract)

About the role

Allogene Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focusing on the development of allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T cell (AlloCAR T) products for cancer and autoimmune disease. Led by experienced management, Allogene aims to provide readily available cell therapy on-demand, more reliably, and at greater scale.

Responsibilities

• Participate in analytical method development and qualification, drug product characterization, and impurity testing
• Provide analytical support for process characterization and BLA-enabling activities, including qualification of in-process and release methods and tech transfer
• Contribute to project technical teams to ensure effective communication
• Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong accountability, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ensure high-quality, timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and technical reports supporting regulatory filings
• Present data and strategies to scientists and management

Requirements & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in immunology, molecular biology, or related field (or relevant experience)
• Laboratory experience in various analytical methods, including nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, ddPCR, western blot, and ELISA
• Hands-on expertise in handling and processing mammalian cells
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation (advantageous)
• Familiarity with cGMPs and relevant regulatory guidance documents (plus)
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication

Position Details

• Location: United States
• Duration: 1-year contract opportunity with potential for extension or contract-to-hire
• Salary Range: $45-$50 per hour
