Responsibilities
- Leads and executes key research projects related to the two pillars of our research program, working with non-human primates in our custom virtual reality and large-scale electrophysiology environments.
- Conducts a variety of research experiments using advanced research techniques.
- Collaborates with the Principal Investigator in the development of new experiments and research techniques.
- Affords assistance in the implementation of standardized protocols for experiments and training purposes.
- Affords assistance to the Principal Investigator with publications by extracting and compiling data; reviewing and editing articles for publication.
- Mentors and trains less experienced research staff and graduate students.
- Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in sciences or related field.
- Masters Degree in sciences or related field preferred.
- 5 years in a research environment; 1+ years working with nonhuman primates or other large animals in a research setting.
- Experience with non-human primates in a research setting.
- Experience with lab management duties is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C#, and/or bash scripting is a major plus.
