Senior Associate – Real Estate Development & Investments

About the role

The practice focuses on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, advising institutional equity investors and developers across multifamily, industrial, office, hotel/resort, mixed-use, and portfolio projects. The successful candidate will take a lead role in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex real estate and finance matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on acquisitions, dispositions, and development of commercial and residential real estate
• Representing institutional borrowers in construction and stabilized financings, including debt fund, structured finance, and CMBS-style financings
• Leading-drafting and negotiation of real estate loan documents, including transactions with mezzanine and complex capital stack components
• Working closely with senior attorneys and supporting the development of junior associates
• Engaging with institutional clients on high-value, multi-faceted deals

Who You Are

• 7+ years of experience in real estate transactions and financings at a leading law firm
• Strong borrower-side loan expertise; joint venture experience a plus
• Skilled negotiator with experience leading transactions
• Strong academic record and admitted in Texas
• Comfortable working with institutional clients and managing complex deal structures

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $225,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
