Senior Associate Quality Assurance

About the role
The role is fully onsite in Thousand Oaks, CA, and requires the ability to lift 30+ pounds and pass a vision assessment for inspection work. Candidates must be comfortable working with raw materials and components, mainly chemicals, and may have to work in the sampling suite for extended periods of time. Previous experience with GMP is a plus but not required, as training can be provided. Candidates of all backgrounds and experience levels will be considered if they demonstrate the right attitude and interest in the role.
Responsibilities
- Sampling and inspection of raw materials and components
- Performing quality review of documentation for assigned functions (e.g., equipment and maintenance records)
- Leading small projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment associated with sampling (e.g., Toledo balance, drum lift, pallet jack)
- Maneuvering of large drums (50+ pounds)
- Maintenance of training records, recording, and computing data
- General understanding of aseptic techniques, cGMPs, gowning, sampling procedures, and safety guidelines
- Working as a team player and/or independently
- Multi-tasking and basic problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with computer skills (e.g., documentation systems, databases, spreadsheets)
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED + 4 years of Quality experience, or
- Associate’s degree + 2 years of Quality experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 months of Quality or Operations experience
- Master's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior GMP experience
- Previous experience using production/warehouse equipment
- Familiarity with inspection equipment
Pay
The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
