Senior Associate, Product Manager - Fintech Products, Capital One Travel

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate Product Manager to join our Capital One Travel team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end customer experience of our travel fintech products. We are a fast-paced team solving difficult problems in unique ways, focused on scaling our products to millions of customers and refining the experience to create a product customers can’t live without.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to build the future of Capital One Travel fintech in partnership with Hopper.
• Partner with business and design peers to craft a product strategy for the ideal fintech customer experience.
• Optimize in-market products through rapid testing and contribute to the development of new fintech products.
• Be obsessed with creating exceptional customer experiences by deep-diving into customer feedback, leading usability and observational research, synthesizing insights, and prioritizing optimizations and new features.
• Think strategically about prioritizing the roadmap to balance building a product customers love while driving growth and value for the business.
• Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria and break down business epics into features and user stories, driving toward the lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for valid feature tests.
• Use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure your product or feature delivers on real business needs and own and prioritize feature development roadmaps.
• Work autonomously in an agile environment to conduct research and develop features utilizing new and evolving technology.
• Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists, and subject-matter experts to build cutting-edge solutions.
• Deliver well-managed product platforms by understanding technology trends and architecture strategy.
• Actively participate in horizontal forums to build a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders, and partner teams.
• Articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share it with stakeholders, elevating your team’s results and becoming a product matter expert.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
• 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer-facing digital products
• 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
• 1+ years working with cross-functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.

• McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900
• New York, NY: $121,300 - $138,400
• Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
