Senior Associate, Product Analytics & Applied AI
Why We Are Looking for You
We are building a highly impactful, data & AI-first Product Analytics function at Owner.com. As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product roadmap through close collaboration with Product Managers to establish opportunity impact sizing, product effectiveness tracking, and direct product strategy & tactical contributions. Your work will shift to wherever the highest impact lies - whether that's deep root-cause analysis on product opportunity areas, sizing the expected impact of new features to shape engineering priorities, designing & providing visibility to product health metrics, or directly contributing to the development of analytics and AI-powered product features.
The best candidates will not simply provide insights to the EPD (Engineering & Product) org, but be a strategic and operational driver, identifying gaps/opportunities, recommending product roadmap improvements, and creating overall meaningful business impact through direct influence on the product.
This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
- You should apply if you:
- Have felt torn about whether to pursue a business vs pure technical/analytical career path (at Owner, we believe these must merge)
- Identify inefficiencies in everyday life - and see them as exciting opportunities.
- Aren't satisfied with understanding things at a surface level, and get satisfaction from understanding the root cause (the WHY).
- When solving problems, you enjoy diving deeply in them to understand root causes and become a "subject matter expert", but know when to stop "overbuilding".
- Aren't afraid of and enjoy picking up new skills and tools to problem-solve.
- Enjoy tinkering and testing (or building) applications for AI tools like Claude Code, Codex.
- Love a good data-driven decision-making process (but also understand when this is possible and when it isn't).
- Have a proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
What You Will Be Doing
- Influence Product Planning Roadmap: Influence product planning through informative impact sizing, enabling more strategic decision-making for Owner.
- Uncover Product Gaps, and Recommend/Action Resolutions: Analyze the root cause for product success metric gaps and issues, and recommend immediate resolution pathways, or action them yourself.
- Own Your Product Pod’s Analytics: Improve the analytics and engagement strategy for your product pod(s). This isn't just an insights role - you'll design and ship data products and automated AI workflows that enable teams to act on data without waiting for analysis.
- Tackle Emerging Priorities: Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects as business needs arise; this role flexes with what matters most.
- Ultimately, help grow our customers' sales and improve their experience: Across all product pods, the mission is uniform: improve our customer's experience and help customers grow their sales with Owner.com.
Who You’ll Work With
- Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to our Director of Business Operations, Customer and Product, Nali Amin.
- Team Collaboration: You will be embedded within up to two product squads (preferably one), working closely with Product Managers, designers, and developers within their regular sprint cadence.
- Technical Collaboration: You will collaborate with Analytics Engineers on all technical aspects, including data modeling, data quality, and the use of tools like DBT and Snowflake.
- Executive Visibility: The work in this role directly drives product strategy, which means regular exposure to senior and executive leadership.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years in analytics, strategy, or ops - whether that's management consulting, startup analytics, or a hybrid path that's hard to label.
- Extremely strong quantitative skills, with additional technical background or education strongly preferred. SQL/Python/Claude Code/Codex and product analytics experience is a strong plus.
- You've built things - dashboards, tools, processes - not just delivered decks.
- You dig into root causes until you actually understand the problem, not just the symptoms.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; you don't need a playbook to figure out what to work on next.
- Experience with SaaS, marketplaces, or high-growth startups preferred.
- Restaurant industry experience is a plus.
