We launched in 2020 and have since then built world-class operations to delight our customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace; this team is shaping the future of DoorDash Retail and how we empower local economies across industries like pets, flowers, home improvement and so much more!
About The Role
We are hiring a Senior Associate to join the Retail Strategy & Operations team to own the backend data that fuels what customers see when shopping Retail on DoorDash. This person will develop deep expertise in Retail merchants and categories and become the team's authority on data quality — defining what best-in-class product and merchant data looks like, and building the systems that keep it that way as we scale.
Responsibilities
Owning attribute definition, enrichment, and catalog feed mapping to hit data coverage targets at scale
Setting and scaling data quality standards, building repeatable frameworks like style guides and quality rubrics
Tracking data and PDP quality over time, proactively flagging gaps before they reach customers
Managing day-to-day enrichment vendor operations
Partnering with the Catalog team on attribute creation and taxonomy definition
Qualifications
2-4+ years of experience
Success in similar cultures that are highly analytical and cross-functional (e.g., startups, tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience)
AI native - Adapted to integrating AI into daily workflows with tools like Claude, Cursor, Copilot and other relevant tools
An owner - Always looking for opportunities to better work product and own the outcome – both the good and the bad
Entrepreneurial - Bias for action, builds things from the ground up
Analytical - Let data win arguments, comfortable pulling own data in SQL, building models in Excel and leveraging AI tools for analysis
Unafraid of ambiguity - Thrives in ambiguous, startup environment
Completed Bachelor’s Degree

Paid Time Off
Salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
Hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
