DoorDash is looking for an analytical and entrepreneurial operator to join our US Marketplace Growth team, responsible for accelerating new growth bets, notably with College students and Gen Z. You will dive into data to explain performance at the lowest level of detail, use AI tools to drive reporting efficiency, work with cross-functional partners to report and explain performance, and help manage a team of College Ambassadors and leads supporting our on-the-ground presence at colleges nationwide.

About the role

The Senior Associate, Marketplace Audience Strategy & Operations role is for truth seekers who enjoy getting scrappy while examining data, creatively problem-solving, driving insights on business performance trends, using AI to drive efficiency, and working across a cross-functional organization to bring strategies to life. You will directly support new Audience penetration for DoorDash’s largest business unit.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Dive into data to explain performance at the lowest level of detail
  • Broker and manage external ecosystem partnerships
  • Solve blockers to performance at individual College campuses
  • Work with cross-functional teams to build reporting and performance updates for senior leadership
  • Develop new ideas and translate them into actionable tests or new reporting mechanisms
  • Drive the creation of strategic plans that guide execution throughout the business

This role operates in a hybrid model, combining in-office and remote work with flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand, report, and drive business performance
  • Support the creation of critical strategic plans as a roadmap for execution
  • Assess US Marketplace performance to identify trends and drive actions based on learnings
  • Work with other Strategy and Planning teams to deliver new tooling for more efficient reporting and planning
  • Partner with internal and external teams to bring ideas to life

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience in strategy, operations, planning, or related areas
  • Analytical mindset with comfort translating data into tangible insights and using AI tools (e.g., Cursor) to improve analytics
  • Action-oriented with a bias toward action, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Creative problem-solver who avoids "this is how it's always been done" thinking
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to lead with empathy while holding cross-functional partners accountable for deliverables

Pay

The national base pay range for this position within the United States (including Illinois and Colorado) is $87,000—$128,000 USD. Compensation is determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g., ~6.7 hours/month for 40 hours/week; ~3.4 hours/month for 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g., ~5.8 hours/month for 40 hours/week; ~2.9 hours/month for 20 hours/week).
