Senior Associate, M&A and Portfolio Improvement

Responsibilities
- Evaluate new investment opportunities, including market research, financial modeling, and preliminary valuation analysis
- Manage due diligence workstreams (financial, operational, legal, commercial) alongside internal teams and outside advisors
- Support deal structuring, negotiation prep, and closing processes for new acquisitions and bolt-ons
- Prepare investment committee materials and present findings to the Chairman and senior leadership
- Partner with portfolio company management teams to monitor financial and operational performance post-close
- Conduct diagnostics into operations, cash flow, and working capital to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Drive cross-functional initiatives with clear KPIs, timelines, and reporting mechanisms
- Support integration efforts for newly acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with Regent's operating model
- Manage multiple parallel workstreams across deal and portfolio priorities in a fast-paced, lean environment
Requirements
- 3-7 years of experience, with buy-side private equity or investment banking experience required
- Prior experience at a private equity firm (deal team or portfolio operations) or investment bank strongly preferred; must have direct exposure to live transaction execution (diligence, modeling, deal structuring)
- Strong finance background with demonstrated financial modeling and valuation skills
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and diligence skills
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-ownership environments with minimal hand-holding
- Willingness and ability to work in-office five days a week in Beverly Hills, California
Compensation
$150,000-$200,000 base salary (range dependent on experience) + bonus
