Senior Associate, Investments
Job Description
Brookfield is seeking a Senior Associate for its North American real estate investments team. The Senior Associate will focus on corporate and platform-level real estate investments across asset classes and across the risk spectrum for Brookfield’s long-term private funds, private perpetual strategies, and perpetual capital vehicle. The Senior Associate will also work on strategic initiatives for Brookfield’s real estate group including M&A and business development projects.
Responsibilities
Performing complex financial analysis and valuations
Conducting market research and supply & demand analysis
Preparing presentations, memos, and analyses to support new and existing investments
Presenting analysis and recommendations in meetings
Interacting with advisors, investment bankers, brokers, and other third parties
Leading due diligence streams and transaction execution
Working closely with junior and senior team members, senior management, partners, affiliates and investors
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree
4-7 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, real estate investing, and/or private equity
Exceptional analytical, financial modeling and valuation skills
Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-directed and motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, diligent, and hard working with capability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-moving environment
Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Leadership capabilities and a business builder
Unquestionable ethics and integrity
Starting Salary
$250k
Compensation
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus).
Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive.
Career decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
