Senior Associate, Integration and Test Engineering

About the role
L3Harris is searching for talented Hardware Test Engineers to support production testing of high-speed avionics open architecture processors, fiber optic switch modules, and chassis. The Test Engineer will apply electronic theory, principles of electrical circuits, electrical testing procedures, and related subjects to test and troubleshoot microprocessor-based digital circuitry consisting of discrete, BGAs, CGAs, and fiber optic components.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings or schematics to perform work duties.
- Work under direct supervision using a prescribed set of processes and procedures.
- Lead and train test technicians executing manufacturing acceptance tests including functional ESS and ATP.
- Collect test data and generate required test reports determining root cause-corrective action on failure trends.
- Understand, properly use, and maintain test sets and test equipment.
- Implement operational strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, EHS, and continuous improvement objectives for assigned programs in the factory.
- Drive key program, factory, and department initiatives.
- Work with engineers to optimize test processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0 - 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Skills
- Strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking/reasoning skills.
- Experience with Linux, LabVIEW, LabWindows CVI, or TestStand is a plus.
- Cost account management experience.
- Experience in Basis of Estimates (proposal writing).
- Fiber optic testing and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong work ethic and leadership skills with solid communication, interpersonal management, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong Office tool skills along with general instrumentation hardware and software knowledge.

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off.
