About the role

The Senior Associate, FHA/HUD Processor, HUD Lending, supports HUD loan production functions, including processing loan exhibits, reviewing third-party reports, preparing sections of the underwriting narrative, document collection and transmittal, and client relations. This role supports members of the HUD underwriting team and reports directly to the Director, HUD Lending.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance of checklists, reviews of submitted exhibits, and detailed organization of collected documents
  • Covers information flow between borrower, borrower representatives, broker, and third-party vendors
  • Maintains third-party invoices and contracts for each transaction
  • Maintains and organizes market and industry data necessary for comprehensive underwriting
  • Aids with closings, as requested
  • Completes post-closing requirements in connection with Forbright’s HUD Quality Control Plan and/or Forbright internal requirements
  • Complies with all facets of Forbright’s HUD Quality Control Plan
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of HUD 232 and/or HUD MAP loan processing/project management experience required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented
  • Adaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Can work independently and within a team; solution-oriented with a collaborative approach
