Senior Associate - Corporate Communications
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week in the NY Office (Tuesday through Thursday) with remote work on Monday and Friday.
About the Role
We are seeking an Associate for Foundational Business (FB) Communications to join our team. Reporting to FB Communications leadership, this individual will develop and advance strategic internal and external communications initiatives, with a focus on supporting executive communications and cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key contributor to internal and external communications deliverables for a diverse set of businesses and leaders.
- Support development of programs that advance corporate reputation and drive positive outcomes for New York Life’s FB leader, raising the profile of FB strategy and priorities among stakeholders.
- Write and prepare leadership messages, press releases, intranet content, speaking points, video scripts, social media content, and presentations.
- Develop and expand measurement best practices, including gathering and interpreting metrics (e.g., intranet usage, employee pulse-surveys, earned and social media metrics) to ensure communications projects deliver results.
- Leverage feedback, best practices, and expertise to provide best-in-class communications support, including testing, learning, and onboarding new GenAI capabilities and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Corporate Communications, including Corporate Design, Editorial, Digital, Video/Meetings, Content Strategy, and Employee Social Engagement.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of corporate communications experience, preferably in a Fortune 500 company and/or communications agency.
- Collaborative team player with executive presence and experience in cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated track record of achievement in a world-class organization.
- Ability to navigate a complex organization and operate within ambiguity.
- Experience with change management and culture change initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent writing, listening, presentation, and communications skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
Pay
Salary Range: $81,000–$115,500. Overtime eligible: Exempt. Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes. Actual base salary will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Employees are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and may participate in an incentive program.
