Senior Associate, Corporate Communications
About the role
The Senior Associate, Corporate Communications role at Cognizant involves driving impactful contributions and focusing on outcomes as a key member of the Corporate Communications team. Responsibilities include collaborating with senior business leaders, executive offices, creative, digital, and marketing teams to shape and amplify Cognizant's narrative across media, digital, and executive communications channels. The role supports Crisis Communications, Partner Communications, Media Partnerships, and Corporate Functions while contributing to initiatives that strengthen the Cognizant brand and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Develop media relations strategies that advance Cognizant’s position as a global AI builder.
- Support communications planning and execution for executive appearances, company announcements, and major business milestones.
- Create high-quality communications content including press releases, social media posts, executive talking points, and other audience-ready materials.
- Partner with executive offices and cross-functional teams to shape and deliver leadership messaging while building relationships that drive business outcomes.
- Participate in crisis and issues communications efforts, ensuring timely, effective, and consistent messaging while monitoring and measuring communications effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Excellent English writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically while producing high-quality communications content.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience working under pressure, managing tight deadlines, and maintaining a calm, positive attitude.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- A strong sense of ownership, desire to create meaningful outcomes, and passion for work that serves a greater good for customers, communities, or global challenges.

Pay
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $100,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position requiring attendance in a Cognizant office in New York, NY. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.
