About the role
Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) personnel are directly responsible for various client accounts. CAAS includes bookkeeping, payroll and payroll tax, sales and use tax, financial statement preparation, and other accounting and consulting services.
Competency and technical skill sets include strong knowledge of accounting principles and standard accounting processes for recording business transactions into a general ledger, account reconciliations, work paper preparation, preparing and posting journal entries, and adapting work as required by the level of engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned client accounts
- Perform bookkeeping, payroll, and payroll tax services
- Handle sales and use tax compliance
- Prepare financial statements
- Provide various accounting and consulting services
- Record business transactions in the general ledger
- Conduct account reconciliations and prepare work papers
- Prepare and post journal entries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3-5 years of prior bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
- Available to work extended hours from January through March
- High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
