About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate, Assurance to join our growing Assurance team. This role is ideal for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys leading engagements, mentoring staff, and building strong client relationships while delivering exceptional audit and assurance services.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in and lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion
  • Conduct risk assessments and tailor audit approaches based on client operations and industry considerations
  • Carry out substantive testing of financial transactions, internal controls, and account balances
  • Ensure financial statements and supporting documentation comply with applicable accounting and auditing standards
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients
  • Communicate engagement progress, findings, and recommendations clearly and proactively
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and firm leadership to deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Identify opportunities for operational and financial process improvements
  • Review workpapers and provide constructive feedback to junior staff
  • Mentor and support the professional development of Assurance team members
  • Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
  • Coordinate effectively with Managers and Directors regarding engagement status, risks, and resource needs
  • Maintain accurate engagement documentation and timekeeping records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience focused on audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Employee Benefit Plan audit experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing standards
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure
  • Experience working with clients in AEC, Manufacturing, or related industries
  • Experience with audit software, data analytics tools, and/or CCH Engagements
