About the role
This role advises on and executes interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives for a portfolio of corporate and financial sponsor clients. The focus is on supporting clients to manage risks and providing tailored hedging solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise across interest rate and foreign exchange markets to deliver tailored hedging solutions
- Advising on and executing derivative transactions across both vanilla and structured products
- Build a strong understanding of client businesses and transaction activity to identify and originate opportunities, with a focus on financial sponsor clients
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Markets, Banking, and specialist product teams to deliver coordinated, end to end outcomes for clients
- Manage client relationships and take increasing ownership of a defined portfolio and associated outcomes
- Contribute to the day-to-day management of client activity, supporting pricing, execution, and ongoing risk management
- Contribute to the development of new or enhanced solutions where relevant
Requirements
- Client centric professional with experience in advising on or executing derivative products for corporate clients, or relevant experience in corporate advisory or consulting
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to identify client opportunities
- Solid understanding of derivatives, financial markets, and risk management concepts
- Ability to translate complex market concepts into clear, actionable client insights
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Potential for stakeholder management and relationship building capability
Qualifications
- Relevant education or professional accreditation, including AFMA
- Financial modelling capability and proficiency in Excel and dealing systems such as Bloomberg
- Experience in corporate finance, treasury, accounting, or advisory roles
- Curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Exposure to data, automation, or emerging technologies, including AI

- Fair compensation for this role is in the range of $130,000 to $200,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus
