Senior Assistant District Attorney
About the role
The Oswego County District Attorney’s Office has an immediate opening for a Senior Assistant District Attorney responsible for the preparation and prosecution of violent and serious felony cases before the courts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and prosecute violent and serious felony cases before the courts.
- Appearing in court to prosecute cases at hearings, trials, and/or Grand Jury.
Requirements
- Graduation from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
- Ten (10) years of experience in the practice of criminal law, five (5) years of which must have been as a trial-level felony prosecutor.
- NYS License to practice law.
Special Requirement
NYS License to practice law.
Qualifications
- US Citizen and legal resident of Oswego County or the contiguous counties of Cayuga, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, or Onondaga.
Pay
Starting Salary: $101,068 - $155,643. Salary negotiable to be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
