Responsibilities

  • Provide overall team leadership for your asset team in the areas of safety, quality, cost, productivity, continuous improvement, housekeeping/5S, good manufacturing practices (GMP), internal control, asset management, customer service, human resources, and team capability development.
  • Drive continuous improvement on assets through leadership of Operations, Reliability, and Engineering teams.
  • Partner with other site resources (CI, Reliability, Engineering, etc.) to deliver platform results.

Safety

  • Support the loss control improvement process by championing and complying with critical safety rules.
  • Visibly demonstrate that safety is a core value by role modeling and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Ensure that the development of processes, standards, and equipment meets national, local, and Kimberly-Clark safety codes, policies, and guidelines.

Quality

  • Demonstrate quality as a core value.
  • Responsible for understanding and holding the team accountable for upholding Kimberly-Clark’s Quality policy and standards.
  • Achieve objectives around quality metrics (e.g., significant events, RFT, Cost of Quality).

People

  • Build strong relationships across the Mill teams to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Manage teams in accordance with Kimberly-Clark’s Values and Ways of Working.
  • Lead with high expectations around safety and team support.

Delivery/Cost

  • Provide day-to-day direction to operations, reliability, and engineering team members.
  • Manage cost of manufacturing (e.g., operating supplies, waste, labor, maintenance).
  • Develop strategy and tools to provide accurate forecasts and conformance to forecasted spending.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, or a relevant discipline, or 7+ years of related experience.
  • Significant experience in Operations, Business, Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of the operations role in the Supply Chain.
  • Advanced knowledge in people management and technical areas of expertise (or aptitude to learn).
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, influence, and lead a multi-functional team and foster a proactive team environment.
  • Experience in multiple plant environments, product systems, and staff experience, along with leadership of a non-exempt workforce, is highly desired.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in LEAN business practices (e.g., role model and teach 4-step simple problem solving, LSW, Visual Management, 5S).
  • Ability to build and manage a budget.

Working Conditions

  • Normal scheduled hours will vary based on the need to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Pay

Salary Range: $140,320 – $173,360 USD. At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive, and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range applies to US locations only. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience.
