Senior Art Director/ Art Director – Video Editing/ Social Media Animations

About the role

Q&E, an all-inclusive and independent MARCOM company with over 30 years in the industry, is currently seeking Senior Art Directors and Art Directors with mainly video editing, animation using Adobe After Effect (animations for social media), branding, digital, and social media experience.

Responsibilities

• Champion great ideas and beautiful visuals, whether in motion or static, as mainly video editing, animation using Adobe After Effect (animations for social media), branding, websites, social media, activation ideas, design, or PR.
• Expect yourself to deliver ideas that are compelling and visually appealing.
• Love idea generation, have a great imagination, are versatile, and possess multidisciplinary capabilities across all digital media platforms.
• Proactive, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile to make great campaigns happen.
• Interpret creative briefs to gain a clear understanding of objectives and work required.
• Develop creative ideas and concepts for branding, websites, social and digital.
• Present ideas to colleagues and clients.
• Familiarise yourself with clients’ products/services, target audience, and their competitors’ activities.
• Conceive, develop, and produce the overall look and feel of advertising campaigns and other projects.
• Manage, craft, and ensure the quality of the creative product.
• Revise ideas in response to feedback.
• Oversee campaigns through the production stage to completion.
• Work on several campaigns when required, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines.
• Understand how to work with vendors when necessary.
• Keep up to date with popular culture, trends, and new digital technologies.

Requirements

• Over 1-3 years of working experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your thinking ability and craft in mainly video editing, animation using Adobe After Effect (animations for social media), branding, websites (UI/UX), social, and digital.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, mainly video editing software, animation using Adobe After Effect (animations for social media), Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. (Bonus points for being able to do illustrations, photography).

• Ability to design a variety of styles for different channels and media.
• Ability to generate original and impactful ideas and art direction that meet the client’s brief.
• Good teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good project management skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess commercial awareness with the ability to understand the target audience.
• Able to apply knowledge of consumer trends and culture.
• Sound knowledge of digital craft and through-the-line conceptualisation.
• Ensure consistency and quality in the work.

Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, especially video editing software and animation using Adobe After Effect (animations for social media).
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant experience.
