Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of Architecture design and implementation
- Knowledge of the building and construction process
- Knowledge of regulatory and legal issues related to building design and construction
- Knowledge of design systems and software
- Knowledge of project management
- Ability to supervise, direct, manage and oversee subordinate staff ensuring training, certifications, and quality work
- Ability to determine code requirements, design, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design
- Ability to manage budget, grant, and bond programs
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university
- Experience: Four (4) years’ experience as a licensed architect, including familiarity with construction cost estimating, CAD drafting, project administration, project scheduling, building materials, and methods of construction
