Responsibilities
- Lead the development of detailed and innovative architectural solutions for complex projects, ensuring that designs meet client requirements and comply with building codes and regulations
- Provide technical oversight and guidance throughout the design process, reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and quality
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, addressing technical questions and ensuring project goals are met
- Oversee the integration of building systems (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) into architectural designs, coordinating with consultants to ensure seamless execution
- Lead project teams, mentoring junior architects and designers, and providing guidance on design challenges, technical issues, and project execution
- Ensure that all projects adhere to sustainability standards and best practices, including LEED, WELL, and other environmental certifications as applicable
- Conduct quality control reviews of design and construction documentation at key project milestones, ensuring compliance with both firm standards and client expectations
- Work closely with project managers to ensure that project schedules and budgets are maintained, providing technical input to help mitigate risks and avoid delays
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in materials, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client meetings, showcasing the firm’s technical expertise and project experience
- Engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and stay informed about changes in building codes, standards, and best practices
- Represent the firm at industry events and conferences, promoting the firm’s expertise and expanding professional networks
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect (RA)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- 7-8 years of experience in architectural design, including complex projects
