Senior Architect

As a Senior Architect, Science & Technology, you'll work on projects involving pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and semiconductor science and technology buildings in Chicago, IL.
About the Role
You will lead and coordinate the technical development of projects from Conceptual Design through Construction Documents and Construction Phase. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including architects and engineers, both in-house and external subconsultants, ensuring projects meet design concepts and budgets. You will also develop presentation documents and participate in client presentations.
Responsibilities
- Extensive experience with building codes, H-occupancy facility, International Fire Code, NFPA, and Life Safety Codes
- Chemical Hazard classification, Maximum Allowable Quantity (MAO), expertise in Class I, Division I and II and zone area studies
- Lead and coordinate the technical development of projects
- Coordinate with a multi-discipline team of architects and engineers
- Develop presentation documents and participate in presentations to clients
- Manage the design, production, and coordination of projects from our Chicago, IL office for projects nationwide
- Manage diverse groups of clients, project stakeholders, and team members
- Work with international clients, equipment suppliers, and consultants with global teams
- Utilize financial management software
- Travel up to 10%
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited university
- Architectural License
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with the tasks identified above
- Track record of exceptional performance
- Experience in a variety of project market sectors, including Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Semiconductor Science & Technology projects
- Thorough working understanding of the Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit capabilities

Benefits
We offer a comprehensive benefits package for all full-time employees, including health insurance, vacation time, and 401(k) retirement benefits. The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000, with actual compensation determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
