Senior Appraiser

Responsibilities

• Specialize in commercial property valuation for countywide revaluation and annual listing periods
• Review, analyze and implement all three approaches to value for all types of real property
• Review complex Income & Expense statements to determine value
• Analysis of different commercial lease types
• Site visits to gather physical and economic information to appraise properties
• Revalue land due to splits, combinations, new parcel creation and zoning changes
• Review information supplied by taxpayers and perform analysis to support and defend values during all levels of appeals
• Assist with other tasks as determined by real property managers
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the staff in the absence of Appraisal Manager/Supervisor

About the Team

The Department of Tax Administration serves the citizens of Wake County by appraising, assessing and listing all real estate and personal property within the county, its fifteen municipalities and related service districts.
