Senior Applied AI Solutions Architect, Federal Financial
About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Applied AI Solutions Architect to support our Federal Financial Regulatory customers in the Arlington, VA and Washington, DC area. This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by the customer.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and consult on applications and infrastructures related to specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- Work closely with other Specialist and Generalist Solutions Architects to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive adoption of AI/ML across the federal financial portfolio.
- Interact with customers and SAs in the field, providing technical guidance on AI/ML engagements.
- Create white papers, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage applied AI on AWS.
- Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, helping them integrate AI solutions into customer architectures.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of modern AI patterns and architectures, including agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent document processing, conversational AI, and classification/anomaly detection.
- Leverage Python data science environments to help AWS customers evaluate approaches and build production-ready solutions.
- Engage with senior engineers at customers, partners, and AWS service teams, influencing roadmaps and driving innovation.
Requirements
Deep technical experience working with technologies related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, or generative AI. A strong background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical discipline is preferred, in addition to experience helping customers architect enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
- Associate's degree or above, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
Skills
Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs.

Pay
Base salary range: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
