About the role
The Senior Full-Stack Engineer will join the Banking Technology team to deliver advanced technology solutions that support business objectives. This role emphasizes hands-on development and technical ownership, requiring the candidate to lead and coach small teams while leveraging AI tools for enhanced productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both the technical and business aspects of Corporate and Investment Banking. Success in this position is measured by the quality of outcomes delivered and the capability of the team.
Responsibilities
- Design and build large-scale web application platforms on microservices architecture.
- Lead system design at both high and low levels, producing necessary design artifacts.
- Leverage AI coding agents for code generation, debugging, and routine tasks.
- Critically review and validate all AI-generated code for quality and security.
- Integrate agentic workflows into CI/CD pipelines and manage multiple workstreams.
- Act as a player/coach within small squads, delivering hands-on while upskilling junior engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for building scalable microservices.
- Strong experience with Angular 19+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, JSON, CSS, Web Sockets, and Ajax.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong experience with GitHub for source control and Jira for project management.
- Proven experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
Pay
$142,320 - $213,480 per year
