SENIOR APPLICATION SPECIALIST

About the role

The primary purpose of the Senior Applications Specialist position is to provide coordination and support for internally developed, as well as vendor-supplied computer software programs related to the strategic business processes, to Perioperative Services systems, in an environment which promotes industry best practices and optimal use of University Hospital resources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of software programs
• Deliver procedural and basic technical support to customers through telephone, email, and help desk tickets
• Collaborate directly with customers on a daily basis
• Resolve customer issues and questions involving software, training, and troubleshooting
• Work with University Hospital to identify process improvements and efficiencies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field required
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in related technology field or Business, Business Administration
• Knowledge of modern office methods, practices, and procedures and software
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
• Experience providing application support in a healthcare related field preferred

Qualifications

• Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement
