About the role
The primary purpose of the Senior Applications Specialist position is to provide coordination and support for internally developed, as well as vendor-supplied computer software programs related to the strategic business processes, to Perioperative Services systems, in an environment which promotes industry best practices and optimal use of University Hospital resources.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation of software programs
- Deliver procedural and basic technical support to customers through telephone, email, and help desk tickets
- Collaborate directly with customers on a daily basis
- Resolve customer issues and questions involving software, training, and troubleshooting
- Work with University Hospital to identify process improvements and efficiencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field required
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in related technology field or Business, Business Administration
- Knowledge of modern office methods, practices, and procedures and software
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience providing application support in a healthcare related field preferred

- Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement
