About the role
At Schneider Electric, we’re seeking an Application Engineer to join our Protection, Controls & Automation (PCA) group within Digital Power. Our team designs, configures, tests, and executes advanced PCA solutions tailored to customer needs, collaborating closely with Sales, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Work on Complex Projects: Design, configure, test, and execute advanced PCA solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Sales, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Promote Schneider Electric’s Safety-First culture in every aspect of your work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
- 4+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
- Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s LV/MV power systems.
- Advanced knowledge of: Power systems and protection schemes, Protection relays and relay-based ATO schemes, Testing protocols for feeder, transformer, bus differential, arc flash, and motor protection.
- Experience and proficiency in communication protocols: Modbus, DNP, IEC61850.
- Experience executing complex relay-based ATO schemes over IEC61850.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s Medium and Low Voltage systems is a plus.
