Senior Application Developer - Industrial Voice AI & Edge Applications

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Application Developer - Industrial Voice AI & Edge Applications to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will focus on building and optimizing edge applications that bring voice-driven intelligence into industrial environments. You will work on solutions that support operators, maintenance teams, and quality processes, helping improve speed, usability, and real-time decision-making. The position also involves integrating AI capabilities into device-level workflows and collaborating across technical teams to deliver practical, embedded experiences. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Build applications for various edge devices used in industrial environments
• Integrate SDK technologies into existing workflows
• Create applications for maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control
• Develop interfaces for operator assistance and digital instructions
• Deploy and optimize embedded AI solutions for real-time usage

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with embedded or edge applications for mobile devices and industrial HMIs
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, C++, Swift, or similar programming languages
• Experience deploying Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, and Voice Assistant applications
• Hands-on experience with embedded AI and Small Language Models (SLMs)
• Experience integrating SDKs and APIs for device capabilities

Pay

$107,000 – $172,600 annually
