Senior API Automation Test Lead

What's the Job?

Design, develop, and execute functional test cases for REST and SOAP APIs to validate business requirements, data accuracy, and system behavior.

Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, and REST Assured/Karate; validate request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and error handling.

Analyze API specifications and requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure comprehensive test coverage across integrated systems.

Log, track, and verify defects, working closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure quality deliverables.

Participate in test planning, regression testing, integration testing, and report test results while maintaining detailed test artifacts and documentation.

What's Needed?

• Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright and Karate automation tools.
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and executing API test cases for REST/SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, and REST Assured.
• Ability to analyze API specifications, identify test scenarios, and ensure complete test coverage.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

About the Role

The Senior API Automation Test Lead will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting API testing and automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay

Pay Range: $25-31/hr
