About the role

Patriot is hiring experienced and entry-level Construction Engineering Technicians to perform soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel testing on construction projects. This position is based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with potential work at multiple locations.

• No experience is necessary for entry-level roles—training will be provided.
• Pay is determined by experience and certifications (e.g., ACI, ICC, OSHA).
• Perform field tests and observations on soil, reinforcing steel, concrete, and asphalt.
• Document and report test results (basic MS Excel experience required).
• Assist in the lab as needed.
• Candidates with ACI or ICC certifications are preferred.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License (Required).
• Reliable transportation.

• Construction experience (1 year preferred).
• ACI Certification (Preferred).

Pay

$20.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications).

Schedule

• 10-hour shift or 8-hour shift.
• Monday to Friday.
• On-call availability.
• Weekends as needed.
• Overtime, occasional weekend, or after-hours work is available and sometimes required.
