About the role
Aperio Global is seeking a Senior Analytic Developer to support our Access Discovery & Tradecraft program. In this role, you'll collaborate with intelligence analysts, software engineers, and data scientists to develop innovative analytic capabilities that transform how data is discovered, processed, and exploited. From rapid prototyping to production deployment, you'll build modern software solutions that automate workflows, accelerate analysis, and deliver immediate operational impact.
Our engineering teams leverage Agile development, AI-assisted coding, rapid iteration, and emerging technologies to solve complex national security challenges. You'll help build the next generation of analytic software that enables intelligence professionals to discover insights faster, automate complex workflows, and solve some of the nation's most challenging technical problems.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with analysts and technical stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate requirements into software solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Build reusable software components, APIs, and analytic capabilities that integrate with enterprise mission systems.
- Develop scalable data processing workflows that automate manual tasks and improve analyst productivity.
- Rapidly prototype new capabilities and transition successful solutions into operational environments.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies—including Generative AI—to modernize analytic workflows.
- Participate in Agile development while continuously improving application performance, scalability, and usability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong software engineering experience developing applications with Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Experience developing scalable, production-quality software solutions.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and deliver innovative solutions in an Agile environment.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Ability to work onsite in Fort Meade, MD.

Pay
Salary Range: $180,000–$200,000, depending on experience level, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
