Senior Analyst, WMS Configuration
About the role
The Senior Analyst, WMS Configuration supports Wayfair’s fulfillment network by configuring and maintaining Manhattan WMS capabilities. This role sits within the broader Labor Management organization and partners closely with Operations, Inventory Control, Network Management, Manhattan consultants, and internal configuration teams to support new site launches and post-launch optimization.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain location management settings in Manhattan WMS, including location setup, putaway path planning, picking path planning, zone design, travel restrictions, and XYZ configuration.
- Build and organize configuration work using Excel or Google Sheets, SQL, Postman, and API calls to support WMS uploads, data processing, validation, and issue resolution.
- Partner with Operations teams to review facility layouts, understand operational requirements, and translate those requirements into SQL jobs, configuration files, and WMS-ready updates.
- Support multiple Manhattan site launches in parallel by tracking configuration tasks, coordinating status updates, escalating blockers, and helping ensure launch readiness across stakeholders.
- Provide remote configuration support for facilities already live on Manhattan, including troubleshooting, data analysis, reporting, and maintenance of existing WMS configuration.
- Collaborate with Manhattan consultants, Inventory Control, Network Management, and the broader Manhattan configuration team to align location design, system setup, and operational execution.
- Contribute to Labor Management work as needed, including time studies, standards management, general data analysis, LM configuration support, process validation, documentation, training, and reporting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience or technical background in Warehouse Management Systems, Labor Management Systems, industrial engineering, supply chain operations, or data analysis using SQL and Excel.
- Experience working in warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, or a similar operational environment, with the ability to connect facility layout and process design to system configuration.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets capability, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, visualizations, and advanced formulas used for analysis, validation, and configuration prep.
- An analytical, detail-oriented approach to problem solving, with the organization and follow-through needed to manage multiple site launches, configuration workstreams, or project trackers at the same time.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to provide configuration support, coordinate project planning, share status updates, and work effectively with technical and operations partners.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent technical field such as Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Analytics.
- Ability to travel approximately 30%–50% to support on-site work at warehouse facilities, launches, and implementation activities.
- PREFERRED: Experience with Manhattan WMS, Labor Management Systems, warehouse location management, pick path generation, directed putaway design, time studies, or standards management.
- PREFERRED: Experience using SQL, Postman, API calls, AutoCAD, space planning tools, or layout design methods in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Benefits
Annual Base Pay: USD 104,500.00 - USD 118,250.00
