About the role

The Strategy & Analytics Senior Analyst contributes to a team that informs VITAS’ strategy and innovation through technology, process changes, and analytical insights. Responsibilities include planning, developing, and executing the corporation’s public policy agenda, monitoring legislative initiatives at the federal and state level, and informing enterprise clinical business decisions through process and strategy incubation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the implementation of new clinical technology platforms, working across departments to prepare them for enterprise use.
  • Contribute to project roadmaps and collaborate with stakeholder groups to advance projects.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach to problem-solving, delivering solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze clinical and operational data from multiple sources to drive mission-critical initiatives and shape business strategy.
  • Clean and integrate complex healthcare data sets to create a foundation for analytics and key insights.
  • Work comfortably in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and perform ad-hoc analyses supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of VITAS systems and applications.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of business and/or data analysis experience.
  • Two to five years in a healthcare setting such as hospice, inpatient care, managed care organizations, or long-term care.
  • Extremely strong skills in Microsoft Suite.
  • Knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, Data Verse, and PowerApps.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate the work of others and collaborate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical and professional skills in data analysis and project management.
  • Experience with provider workflows (e.g., clinics, hospitals, rehab centers) and health plan workflows.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Public Health, MBA, or an advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university (or the international equivalent) is required.
