Senior Analyst, Risk Transformation

About the role

The Senior Analyst, Risk Transformation is a newly created role with an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in developing the new WM-US Risk Transformation program. You will directly identify, design, lead, and execute high-impact and high-visibility risk transformation projects and initiatives for WM-US. Partnering closely with the Head of Risk Governance and Transformation, you will build out the WM-US Risk Transformation program, focusing on innovation, process optimization, analytics and reporting, and special projects. This role involves managing work efforts across multiple projects and collaborating with executives, leaders, and business partners across RBC business lines and functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation in risk AI enablement, technology, tooling, and automation, as well as broader risk transformation strategic opportunities to uplift WM-US’s risk management solutions.
• Analyze, enhance, and implement risk processes to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and resource allocation.
• Support analytics and reporting by facilitating enhancements to existing data analytics and developing new reporting, including executive presentations.
• Lead and execute special projects within the WM-US Risk Transformation program, including:
  • Executive leadership risk metrics process and reporting
  • Issue identification and management process and reporting
  • Risk AI enablement
  • Business line control identification and documentation
  • Disclosure management technology implementation
  • Regulatory exam readiness preparation
• Perform ad hoc risk management responsibilities to support the team and WM-US as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of professional experience in financial services or management consulting.
• Independent self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and influence business partners, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Proven skills in conflict resolution, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making in time-sensitive environments, along with meticulous attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication.
• Progressive experience in the financial services industry, with demonstrated success in directing and leading projects and initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

Nice-to-have:

• SIE; Series 7; Series 63/65 or 66; and Series 9/10 or Series 24 certifications.
• Experience leveraging generative AI in the workplace.
• JD or other professional degree.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000–$130,000, depending on experience, skills, and registration status. You may also have the opportunity to earn additional compensation through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program, contingent on business performance and individual goals.
