Senior Analyst, Personal Property Tax

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a positive team member experience.
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
  • Establish direct relationships with taxing jurisdictions to verify assessment, tax bill, and deadline information.
  • Maintain compliance and filing requirements in conjunction with staff and management.
  • Receive, identify, and sort all incoming mail on a daily basis.
  • Batch tax documents for scanning into scan manager for transmitting information to India resources for processing, where applicable.
  • Navigate software databases to print tax returns and identify general account set-up issues.
  • Support Lead Analysts and management in the maintenance of software databases, filing and tracking assessments, appeals, and tax bills.
  • Afford sufficient time for payment processing by clients.
  • Prepare tax savings and refund calculations for client invoicing, working closely with consultants to track properties throughout the appeal and tax bill process, and manage deadlines accordingly.
  • Focus on complex and/or large taxing jurisdictions.
  • Assist with training new Analysts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High-school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma required.
  • Minimum of three years of property tax experience or other tax-related experience.
  • Desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
  • A working knowledge of service-line software specific to the specialty area.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
