About the role

SoulCycle is seeking a sharp, curious data professional with a passion for turning numbers into narratives and insights into action. The Senior Analyst / Manager will serve as the connective tissue between our data systems and the decisions that drive our business forward. This high‑impact, high‑visibility role blends technical work—building and maintaining reliable, scalable data models and dashboards—with strategic work—surfacing trends, patterns, and opportunities to enable smarter, faster decisions. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail‑obsessed problem‑solver who thrives in ambiguity, can prioritize competing demands without losing rigor or quality, and enjoys influencing every team across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Insights & Recommendations: Partner with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders to understand business questions, deliver timely analysis, and surface opportunities for data‑driven improvement.
  • Visualizations & Dashboarding: Design and maintain ad‑hoc and recurring Looker reports; build and monitor key business metrics; proactively identify trends and performance gaps.
  • Data Modeling: Build, optimize, and document LookML models that support scalable, efficient analysis across the organization.
  • Infrastructure & Data Quality: Audit existing dashboards and data sources to identify consolidation opportunities; diagnose and resolve data discrepancies; partner with the Data Engineering team to improve data pipelines and ensure reporting accuracy. Possess a strong instinct for when data doesn’t look right and the analytical rigor to trace issues back to their source.
  • Predictive Modeling: Develop and maintain models that forecast business outcomes, customer behavior, and other key metrics.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Develop deep familiarity with SoulCycle’s full data landscape and contribute to evolving how the business measures performance.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 6 years of professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
  • Expert in SQL; proficiency in Python (pandas, matplotlib, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience with Looker/LookML; familiarity with Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks, and GCP/AWS.
  • Experience with predictive modeling or statistical analysis (regression, forecasting) a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communicator: able to translate complex data into clear recommendations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem‑solver who thrives on ambiguous questions.
  • Willingness to initiate tasks and perform duties with limited direction.
