Senior Analyst - Health Information Manager Coder

Perform varied and complex diagnostic and procedural coding for accurate DRG, severity of illness, and risk of mortality assignment at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostic and procedural coding for accurate DRG, severity of illness, and risk of mortality assignment.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of medical record experience, preferably in an acute care, computerized environment.
- 2-3 years of demonstrated coding experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, and applicable DRG grouper coding schemes.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with clinical information systems for accessing health information in an electronic environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors to identify medical numbers.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5 years of medical record experience (acute care preferred).
- 2-3 years of coding experience.
Preferred:
- CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or ART/RHIT certification.

Pay
Salary Range: $54.35–$62.35 per hour.
Schedule
All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Employees must live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. No travel expense reimbursement is provided.
