About the Role

As the Senior IT Financial Analyst, you will serve as the primary point of contact for financial management of capital and expense activities for multiple IT portfolios. You will provide ongoing financial support for the overall IT organization, reporting to the IT Finance Manager. This role involves close partnership with IT Leadership, external business partners, and various Finance functions across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform critical IT portfolio capital/expense management, including forecasting, expenditure tracking, month-end close, annual budget/LRP, and reporting activities.
  • Partner with portfolio leads and project managers to develop accurate monthly capital and expense forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Track and reconcile all financial activity by project and portfolio to ensure accuracy and adherence to budgeted spend.
  • Prepare monthly IT reporting, including variance analysis, and communicate portfolio status and financial performance to IT Leadership.
  • Handle capital expenditure request (CER) approval preparation and auditing, including partnership with project managers and IT Leadership.
  • Manage asset disposal and write-off accounting for retired assets related to new or end-of-life projects.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support, including financial modeling and in-depth reporting for annual budget and long-range planning (LRP).
  • Assist in coordinating and consolidating the annual IT Portfolio budgeting and LRP process.
  • Design and execute analysis to answer ad-hoc questions using Excel and PeopleSoft, summarizing findings for executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in an analytical field) with demonstrated superior college performance.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a financial analysis and planning group.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting methodologies.
  • Strong analytical ability, including synthesizing large datasets, error-checking, and reconciling work.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a drive for accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with general ledger, accounts payable research, and reconciliation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Trustworthy with confidential financial information; reliability in attendance and timeliness.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with the ability to learn new software applications (e.g., PeopleSoft, Hyperion).

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $81,000 – $121,800, dependent on experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. Other rewards may vary by position and location.

Schedule

This role requires regular in-office presence for team interaction, meetings, and collaboration but can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.

  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files.
  • Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
