Senior Analyst, Financial Analysis in Manila

About the role

This position focuses on handling complex financial analysis, calculation of forecast/plan, reporting, and project management for Technology Business Units. Analysis includes expenditures, research on variances, study of trends, recorded journal entries, procurement related transactions, and financial reporting trends for Technology Management group.

Major Duties

  • Responsible for, or assists with, monthly/quarterly reporting processes involving forecasting, P&L variance analysis, and preparation of various reports and presentations to management focusing on key business factors driving financial performance, as well as supplement reports needed by business partners.
  • Assists in annual planning and forecast, supporting the business unit for the preparation, timeliness, and integrity of the budget, and providing sound and valuable recommendations to stakeholders impacting key business decisions.
  • Assists in the submission of Technical Services invoices, processing of cost chargebacks, and participates in the month-end close process, including reclassifications and adjustment entries.
  • Works closely with North America-based partners for knowledge transfer and general collaboration.
  • Owns and improves expense reporting views in recurring deliverables.
  • Closely coordinates with partners in Manila and other locations to carry out identified responsibilities.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency, and develops financial/business metrics vital to stakeholders' decision-making.
  • Participates in special projects and ad hoc requirements.
  • Contributes to production of other reporting requirements for the Technology Finance and Corporate Support Services functions as needed.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial results.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in cost accounting and project management.
  • Broad financial and accounting knowledge and business acumen from a 4-year degree program and related work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to present relevant information to management.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, PeopleSoft, HFM, TM1/Cognos, SAP, Clarity PPM, and other similar systems used in financial reporting.
  • Experience with business intelligence analytical tools to interpret data, perform analyses, and communicate financial information to various constituents. Knowledge and experience in Power BI reporting is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, highly flexible, adaptable to change, and proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively and build relationships in a geographically-blended environment (North America and Manila, primarily).

Experience Required

  • CPA is a plus but not required, with 10+ years of collective experience in general and cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, procurement, project management and analysis, and other relevant finance-related functional areas.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry is a plus.
