Senior Analyst Corporate Accounting

About the role

This role is based at our corporate office in Memphis, TN. This is your chance to be part of a Finance Team that is a critical partner managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close by preparing journal entries, processing billings, compiling reports, and creating queries or Excel-based analyses.
• Analyze financial performance to identify trends and important causes affecting the Balance Sheet and P&L.
• Partner with internal and external auditors, and technical accounting teams, to ensure accurate accounting treatment of complex transactions.
• Work with auditors and teams to resolve issues and respond to data requests.
• Cook with third-party providers to gather required data for journal entries, billing processes, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Deliverables You'll Take Ownership Of:
  • Manage revenue recognition for application, IT, and opening fees.
  • Maintain the Asset Management System for revenue-related assets.
  • Review corporate-managed revenue for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience applying the principles and practical applications of GAAP.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups).

Qualifications

• BA/BS bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in Corporate Financial Analysis is preferred but not required.

• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
