Senior Analyst, Compliance
About the role
The Contract Administration and Compliance Team are responsible for contract administration and compliance activities for key federal, state, and local government contracts, such as the General Services Administration (GSA) and Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK) supply schedules and State/Local Master Statewide Agreements (MSAs). The Senior Analyst, Compliance will oversee the full lifecycle of federal and state government contracts and is responsible for ensuring comprehensive contract administration, mitigating risk, and providing broad compliance support for all contract types.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for Thomson Reuters' government contracts portfolio — managing post-award contract activities, tracking deliverables and compliance obligations, and producing required reporting for federal, state, and local government contracts.
- Monitor contract performance, funding limits, and delivery schedules to ensure organizational alignment with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate contract modification activities to add, delete, or modify products/pricing for assigned federal contract(s).
- Ensure strict organizational adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and applicable state and local procurement laws.
- Provide strategic guidance to the Government business team, finance, and legal teams regarding compliance risks and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to each contract.
Requirements
Experience with GSA or FEDLINK contract administration.
Strong understanding of government contracting laws, rules and regulations including, but not limited to, commercial items contracting requirements, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and standard government contract types.
Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external business customers.
Strong attention to detail, including follow-up and final resolution skills.
Investigative and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify workflow process improvements and efficiencies.
High level of initiative and ability to perform in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills; ability to learn new products/technologies quickly.
Excellent PC skills and comfort learning new software solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively with contracting and procurement counterparts with U.S. Federal and State government customers.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college and 2-5+ years of relevant business experience in contract management, or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and a minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience working in a contracting or compliance role.
Skills
- NICE TO HAVES:
- NCMA Certification such as CFCM or CPCM is highly preferred.
- Bar License.
- Knowledge of Thomson Reuters products.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $85,500 USD - $158,700 USD. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $74,200 USD - $137,800 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
