About the Role

The Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) Strategic Execution and Initiatives Senior Analyst will be responsible for project management and execution of strategic initiatives advancing the global OEC program. Key focus areas include:

  • Assessing OEC support needs and planning/executing risk-directed projects (e.g., project plans, stakeholder engagement, communications/training, risk-focused information sharing).
  • Supporting the draft, coordination, and finalization of critical compliance reporting materials (e.g., Risk Assessment).
  • Capturing OEC accomplishments and socializing them for awareness against strategic initiatives and AbbVie priorities.
  • Leading the management of OEC resources (e.g., Prezentium, benchmarking).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with all levels of OEC to assess support needs, provide assistance, advocate for escalation, and maintain momentum using available communication channels.
  • Create, manage, and execute project plans and develop related materials (e.g., presentations, draft deliverables, implementation plans) to support OEC operational excellence and key strategic projects.
  • Support the global risk assessment process by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data from cross-functional stakeholders and leadership to inform the OEC risk landscape.
  • Summarize and update risk assessment results as necessary.
  • Collaborate across OEC teams and relevant functions (e.g., Internal Audit) to identify and understand ongoing, evolving, and emerging OEC-related risks.
  • Support training, communication, and engagement with the global OEC team to drive clarity, consistency, and rigor in the assessment process.
  • Oversee the collection and integrity of master data/information enabling global risk assessment, including governance of the OEC Risk Register and user profiles.
  • Identify, deliver, and present OEC-related risks and issues to management with proactive recommendations for mitigation.
  • Plan and coordinate change management activities to embed project outcomes.
  • Drive efficiencies and consistency in OEC risk management, analytics, and operational excellence.
  • Support the operations and sustainability of the US Risk Governance model and future global risk governance harmonization opportunities.
  • Manage OEC resources (e.g., budget, purchase orders, users) and coordinate responses, reporting, educational materials, and project management tools.
  • Establish and lead teams for critical projects, motivating action and documenting meetings and outcomes.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional OEC projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of department presentations and training materials.
  • Support compliance audit remediation, working with Compliance Directors and business partners to ensure timely completion.
  • Serve as a liaison between OEC and Internal Audit.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of AbbVie’s business, the compliance environment, and broader business impact.

Qualifications

  • B.A./B.S. degree required; CPA, Master's, JD, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance, legal, audit, finance, or regulatory affairs.
  • Strong leadership, organization, analytical, project management, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and adapt quickly to changing needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proofreading and editing.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Change agility and flexibility to adjust strategy based on evolving business needs.
  • Inquisitive and open-minded, with the ability to guide without bias and propose efficient solutions.
  • Enterprise mindset focused on improving operational processes through data, analytics, and AI advancements.
  • Strong ability to synthesize information and tailor communications based on objectives and audiences.
