Senior Analyst - Compensation
About the role
This role is on a hybrid schedule based in our Detroit or Charlotte location in office weekly with some remote work.
Responsibilities
- Analyze compensation data to support pay decisions, market assessments, annual planning, and other compensation-related recommendations.
- Support market pricing and benchmarking activities, including job matching, survey participation, market data maintenance, and related analysis.
- Facilitate key components of the annual compensation cycle, including planning support, data preparation, testing, reconciliation, reporting, and follow-up audits.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting on compensation trends, pay positioning, workforce costs, and other Total Rewards data.
- Audit compensation and job data to help ensure employees are aligned to the appropriate job codes, pay grades, plans, and other compensation-related records.
- Maintain compensation documentation, job aids, and process guidance to support consistent execution and clear program administration.
- Apply compensation policies, guidelines, and relevant regulations in day-to-day work, and identify data or process issues for review as needed.
- Contribute to compensation projects and improvement efforts, which may include pay equity analysis, job architecture support, pay transparency readiness, Workday-related enhancements, or workflow improvements.
Requirements
The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 3+ years of experience
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred qualifications include:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in compensation, HR, benefits analysis, finance, or a related analytical field
- Experience working with data, reporting, and analysis in Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with limited supervision
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Economics, or a related field
- Experience supporting compensation programs in a large, complex organization
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: market pricing, annual compensation cycles, pay equity analysis, compensation reporting, job architecture support, or compensation data governance
- Experience with compensation tools, HR systems, or Workday-related compensation processes
- Financial services, banking, or Total Rewards experience

Base Pay Range: $70000 - $120000 USD
