Senior Analyst, Commercial Loan Closer (NYC)
About the role
The Operations Senior Analyst – Loan Closer will work out of our New York office and must be capable of handling set-up responsibilities, initial funding day activities and process loan modifications in Loan IQ or other commercial lending system. The role requires a strong understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Flood Insurance requirements for closing new deals and loan modifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform the detailed review of the Legal Agreement and Underwriting Approval documents to obtain pricing /handling requirements, loan structures and pertinent information to perform Deal Set-up activities ensuring the accurate recognition borrower balances, client income and servicing requirements.
- Well versed on the time sensitive nature of Initial Funding activities and Equity Co-Invest payments made with the Loan Closing process.
- Process all loan modifications including complex restructures.
- Process all loan assignments as part of loan syndication or movement within co-lender funds.
- Complete new deal set-up activities including review, finalize and validate set-up requirements prior to a scheduled funding to ensure closing day activities are handled smoothly according to identified processing deadlines.
- Perform Operational set-up activities according to identified new deal timeframes, the business need and divisional operating procedure.
- Complete all KYC, AML and Flood Insurance work required to close deals in accordance with Ally CF policies and procedure.
- Complete handling requirements “review and sign-off” sessions with the assigned Operations Servicing team members to ensure go-forward accurate handling of new accounts, pricing/handling changes and account restructuring activities.
- Knowledge of SOFR loan setup/repricing’s.
- Basic Knowledge of Letter of Credit (LC) Fees and Renewals related to the set-up of new deals and impact on loan modifications.
- Well versed in Operations Policies and Procedures including the appropriate user training manuals for internal and external systems utilized.
- This process includes scheduled internal reviews of key procedures to ensure overall audit and SOX compliance.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of experience
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of operational commercial Loan Closing work experience performing set-up related activities for a gented/non agented relationships required. Some experience performing deal servicing responsibilities preferred.
BA or BS preferred, in Accounting or Finance
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
Analytical, detail oriented with problem solving capability.
Very motivated, self-starter.
Must have experience with MS Word and MS Excel
Experience with Loan IQ a plus

Pay
Base Pay Range: $85000 - $150000 USD
Schedule
Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager.
