Responsibilities
- Develops the monthly forecasts and the annual budget analysis.
- Affords assistance in the monthly financial close: analyzes results, including variance reconciliation, generates reports and initiates journal entries.
- Collaborates and manages the preparation of the monthly metrics memos/presentations.
- Researches and analyzes title financial information.
- Facilitates the title P&L acquisition process, assists editorial staff in preparing and understanding P&Ls, and provides ad hoc support with P&Ls.
- Aids in the forecasting system, running reports and testing data and model performance.
- Evaluates current business processes, eliminates duplications, and coordinates information requirements in order to increase productivity across various business units.
- Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Manages special projects on an ad hoc basis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience; background in finance, accounting, economics, or business preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts and principles
- Excellent verbal, analytical, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Ability to deliver value added analyses
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Hyperion Planning, Smartview, and PowerBI knowledge a plus
Pay
The salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000.
