Senior Analyst - Business & Portfolio Optimization
About the role
The Senior Analyst - Business & Portfolio Optimization plays a key role in supporting the sourcing, proposal, and governance processes for Corporate Real Estate Planning & Development projects. This role partners with project managers, senior project managers, and cross functional teams to prepare, analyze, and refine sourcing materials in response to RFPs and evolving project requirements. The Senior Analyst ensures sourcing activities are executed with accuracy, transparency, and consistency, contributing directly to operational excellence across design, construction, and professional services procurement. This position is highly detail oriented and hands on, with a focus on data analysis, vendor coordination, documentation rigor, and continuous improvement of sourcing workflows and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all sourcing events including RFP development, bid distribution, proposal intake, and evaluation, ensuring adherence to sourcing guidelines and project requirements.
- Support vendor management activities, including performance tracking, compliance monitoring, onboarding, and maintaining accurate vendor database records.
- Assist in contract reviews and negotiations, including coordinating revisions with vendors and internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal & risk). Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance templates, improve data integrity, and increase sourcing transparency.
- Maintain sourcing documentation and governance artifacts, ensuring version control, audit readiness, and consistency across contracts, proposals, and sourcing templates.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements, clarify scopes, and ensure sourcing timelines and deliverables align with project needs.
Work location & schedule
This is a Chicago-based hybrid role with in-office requirements 50% of the time. This role will also be required to travel up to 30% of the time.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, vendor management, project management, or large-scale capital project environments
- Knowledge of construction industry request for proposals (RFPs), construction evaluation criteria, contracting best practices, contract terms, negotiations, and risk management
- Strong data analysis capabilities
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred qualifications
- PMP, CCM, Six Sigma
- Knowledge of request for proposals, construction evaluation criteria contracting best practice, delivery method, etc. from an owner's perspective
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- Demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and effectively leverages them to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Apply critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies for responsible AI use, data privacy, and security.
Pay & benefits
- Base pay range: $81,795.00 to $106,602.00, dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills
