Senior Analyst, Business Development
About the role
The North America Commercial business is a priority segment for MasterCard globally, and the U.S. Large Market segment is a key contributor to the overall success of the Commercial business. This position will be responsible for expanding relationships with existing MasterCard customers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Large Market portfolios to identify portfolio trends
- Develop best practices and marketing collateral
- Write white papers
- Speak at industry events
- Work directly with end corporates
- Work with the Marketing and Platform teams to improve MasterCard Large Market value propositions
- Participate in research projects to drive insights into cardholder behavior
- Partner with the Global Commercial teams to understand regional applications of Global products and platforms
- Support team to deliver against business targets for Mastercard from new business and existing customers
- Influence Customer account strategies using analytical problem solving and leveraging data tools to provide market data and customer specific recommendations
- Support project execution across all business functions including business development, advertising, marketing, and product management
- Provide insight in the analysis of customer’s business through profitability modeling, financial forecasting, and competitive analysis
- Participate in business conversations with key decision makers internally and externally
- Act as a project manager and key end-to-end resource lead on small to mid-sized projects
- Partner with the sales teams, internal partners, and key stakeholders to provide support to sales in a region
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships, working closely with cross-functional partners within the regions
Requirements
Moderate professional experience in financial services, cards, payments, or another related field
Understands Mastercard’s Sales Discipline Framework
Experience creating PowerPoint decks
Qualifications
- Business experience with related sales and management experience in the payments industry
- Demonstrated track record of planning, managing, and closing complex, competitive sales efforts and project management
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and analysis skills
- A proven track record of creating solutions that increase revenue
- Ability to manage and grow internal and external cross-functional relationships and partnerships
- Ability to manage a large customer set with varying and diverse issues and pain points, establishing relationships up and down throughout the organization
Skills
Business experience with related sales and management experience in the payments industry
