About the role

Responsible for the research and drafting of responses to regulatory data requests, enforcement actions, audits, and assessments. Perform review of company records to ensure data integrity and compliance with all code requirements, work methods, and procedures. Monitor mandated activities, records, and metrics to ensure the company's compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements and promote a culture focused on pipeline safety and operational compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track commitments associated with compliance consent orders and audits.
  • Provide support during regulatory audits, including working with State Pipeline Safety staff in reviewing company records.
  • Assist Operations with deploying sustainable compliance solutions to satisfy audit findings.
  • Proactively monitor mandated activities and metrics through records review to ensure the company's compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Research and review gas procedures and regulatory requirements to determine scenarios that might impact the company.
  • Encourage adoption of National Grid's Pipeline Safety Management System and create a focus on compliance.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of work experience in utilities, environmental, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of developments in regulations (Federal, State, and Local requirements).
  • In-depth knowledge of industry rules, regulations, and ways of working.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet time/date-driven mandates.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that support working constructively with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that enable one to influence others using data and logic through a solid business case.
  • Self-motivated, confident, efficient, decisive, and committed to a strong and consistent compliance assurance program.
  • Takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly.
  • Reviews work for accuracy and assures that all details are complete.
  • Establishes the facts by asking probing questions and challenging responses.
  • Identifies basic relationships between sources of data such as cause and effect or if-then relationships.

Pay

$106,000 - $124,000 a year

National Grid will not provide visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future. You must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship. This position has a career path that provides advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the role.
